Board of Directors

Professor George William Earl

Board member and Chair at NAHC since 2011

Professor Earl has over 20 years ‘on ground’ experience as a construction economist and property development manager working in the United Kingdom, Australia and the Pacific region. Professor Earl is an Honorary Professor at Bond University and a Professor at Griffith University.
Brad Hosking

Director of NAHC since 2009

Brad brings a diverse range of experience and skills to NAHC through an extensive background in leadership, construction and development finance, property and risk management, business development and tertiary education, gathered through executive and senior roles over a 30 year period. Brad is currently Corporate Director for Common Equity Housing Limited, Victoria's largest community housing association.
Stephen Denaro

Director of NAHC since 2010

Stephen has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, accountancy services, and income tax compliance gained from positions as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of various public companies, and with major chartered accountancy firms in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Jeff Dutton

NAHC Founding Director since 2008

Jeff has over 20 years' experience as a consultant and has held senior management roles in private and public organisations. He has been associated with community housing for sixteen years. He has designed and delivered strategic planning processes in public, private, and community organisations.
Karen Smith-Pomeroy

Director of NAHC Ltd since 2011

Karen has over 30 years experience in the financial services within Australia. Karen held senior executive roles in the finance industry for a number of years, retiring from Suncorp Group in 2014. She has significant experience in risk management, governance and compliance and also has extensive experience working with the property development and investment sectors nationally.
Heather Watson

Director of NAHC since 2014

Heather Watson is a partner of McCullough Robertson Lawyers and heads its social infrastructure practice which focuses on establishing and restructuring legal and tax entities for charitable and non-profit organisations, advising boards on risk, governance and compliance related issues. She has specialist knowledge of the health and aged care, and community sectors. Heather holds a number of independent director roles.

Mike Myers

Managing Director of NAHC

Mike has 34 years experience in senior executive roles in social and affordable housing, including direct housing provision, policy development and legal and advisory services in the UK and in Australia from 1996. Mike is the Founder and Managing Director of the National Affordable Housing Consortium, one of Australia's leaders in the provision of affordable housing, with 3,520 dwellings built and $1.3 billion in private investment attracted. Mike is also the Chairperson of Buy Assist Australia.

Mike also holds the following position and affiliations:

  • Director and Company Secretary of NAHP Ltd, a non-profit company representing the views of NRAS Approved Participants
  • Member: Australian Institute of Company Directors
  • Member: Australasian Housing Institute

Previous positions include:

  • Board Member of the Community Housing Federation of Australia. 1998 – 2011 and chairman for 3 year term
  • A founding member of the National Affordable Housing Summit Group
  • Executive Director of Queensland Community Housing Coalition 1996-2009

Alan Bailey

Chief Financial Officer

Alan is a UK-qualified accountant and brings a wealth of knowledge, skills and commercial acumen acquired through many years serving in senior financial roles across a range of industries.
Jonathan Dale

Company Adviser

As Company Adviser Jonathan provides analysis and guidance on a range of issues to NAHC's Board, Executive Team and staff. Jonathan serves as NAHC's Company Secretary, manages NAHC's broad suite of contractual arrangements and is the principal contact point between NAHC and its legal advisers.
Darren Doyle

Central Services Manager

A senior property industry executive and professional, Darren brings to the business a 15 year track record of accomplishment in leading the development, planning, implementation and successful delivery of business outcomes at the strategic, operational and project levels.
Graham Marshall

Business Development Manager

Graham brings a wealth of experience to the business as a property development professional with a delivery record which includes high-rise residential, housing projects, heavy civil and infrastructure and commercial projects, having been responsible for development of several thousand residential dwellings or lots.
Lohel Paroli

Property Services Manager

Lohel has excelled in the rental property management arena over the past 10 years. Her youthful enthusiasm is backed by a mature work ethic and a reliable dedication to her team. Her ability to build and maintain strong relationships, and a capacity to negotiate and gain agreement from a variety of stakeholders, exceptional communication skills and ability to deal with people from all backgrounds and cultures has assisted her in her role of managing NAHC's three Property Management office locations across QLD.
